Happy new year! Rather than making resolutions I’m sure to forget by February, I decided to test a theory this year. I’ve heard that it takes 21 days to make or break a habit, and each month this year, I’ll spend 21 days actively working on a habit or three. This lovely new blog will serve as my journal and records, though I’ll keep the habit-related stuff under a cut.
The last few days of 2006 could have been much more enjoyable for me. Due to an ice storm, my town – as well as several others in the area – were without power for more than a day. I sleep days, so that night was fairly… dim. The following day, I rejoiced in the light, but I was tired of reading and puttering around. And not being able to cook. *laughs* At least my cats kept me entertained.
Slice of life: I’m always happy to see OU lose. (I’m a Kansas State fan.)
Three habits in January:
- Write daily. Check.
- Cut back to no more than one caffeinated/sugared drink a day. Check.
- This one’s for my eyes only. Check.
